Pride in Town
Sint-Andriesplaats serves as a setting for encounters and dialogue. Pride In Town brings people together in an accessible way and translates the values of Pride into everyday city life, where culture, conversations, and performances come together. The overarching theme, “Fearless,” guides the program. In a context where rights and visibility are not a given, Antwerp Pride calls for courage: to be visible, to stand up for yourself and others, and to contribute to change. That message goes beyond mere presence. It is an invitation to get involved, engage in conversations, and help build a society in which everyone can express themselves freely. By literally anchoring Pride in the heart of the city, it becomes visible and accessible to a broad audience—from the LGBTQIA+ community to everyone who is part of the urban fabric. Strong Voices on Stage This year, Pride in Town is hosted by Fleur Pierets and Kirsten Van Teijn.
Together, they’ll guide the audience through an evening filled with diverse acts and stories. Starting at 6 p.m., Pride in Town presents a varied program featuring performers who each interpret the theme “Fearless” in their own way. Think live performances, music, spoken word, and artistic interventions that move and connect. One of the most notable names on the program is city poet Esohe Weyden. For Antwerp Pride and Het Roze Huis Antwerpen, she created a special poem about inclusion, which she will bring to life during Pride in Town together with the Belgian-Brazilian composer and singer Helena Casella.
And as if that weren’t enough, Vini & Lola McQueen, with The Royal Affair, will deliver a regal explosion of Brazilian beats, glamour, and party energy. The evening will traditionally conclude with a spectacular DJ set that invites the audience to continue celebrating together.
